Meet Catherine
“Art is not always about pretty things. It’s about who we are, what happened to us and how our lives are affected. ”
About Me
I believe we are all multi-faceted beings. I aim to bring awareness and acknowledgement to your whole self. Healing is not about achieving a life without pain but to experience life fully and freely despite the pain. This means there's an acknowledgement and value to all feelings, good, gray or difficult. Navigating this emotional landscape with care and attention to our responses to these emotions can make a drastic difference in our overall mindset & perspective. That we can go through extremely difficult experiences but access the part of us that desires and propels us forward to seek more. My hope as your therapist is to provide a safe and creative space to explore the surface and the depths of your inner & outers self.
My Approach
My approach as your therapist begins with an aim towards truth & authenticity. We can not make change and nurture healing by fearing the unknown of our inner and outer worlds. I specialize in working with teens and young adults as they face identity, future, self-worth, and a desire to be more awake and aware of their habits, patterns, relationships & self.
In addition, I am passionate about the power of visual expression and it's reach to the stored unconscious wounds, the narrative memories can dictate, and the unconscious behaviors, habits and patterns we engage in daily. Expression through art, meditation and a compassionate energy and space for healing can help to shift the negative mindset and invite a more open, curious, aware and mindful system of belief and connection tot he whole self through a healthy mindset.

With an analytic and depth-oriented person centered and existential combination, my areas of focus include anxiety, control, overthinking & stress driven by perfectionism, identity exploration, social anxiety, life transitions, life purpose, emotional duress and processing fears resulting from trauma or traumatic events.
Within our therapeutic work, I additionally accentuate the importance of a balanced lifestyle including nutrition, exercise and hormone awareness to guide healthy habit forming and self-compassion.
